Homecoming - Saturday
A VERY early morning and luckily we have beautiful weather! I head to Wal-Mart and pick up bags of candy to pass out in the parade. We show up at the Union at 7 AM to begin lining up for the parade. They have everyone in the union divided by what they are involved in. We sit there for an hour then they finally come tell us that we are going to head outside and get ready to start the parade. We wait outside for 2 more hours and finally we start the parade by the Fine Arts building. Our Costume Clowns was a real success and the whole parade was a lot of fun for everyone! We finish the pararde around 1030 and then we all head back to our places and get cleaned up. We went to Carson's for lunch and then we all headed to the football game. The game was descent to say the least we won big, as usual, but still an entertaining game. Saturday night was a fun night for everyone on campus I am sure. All homecoming things were done and Halloween parties were in full swing!
Homecoming - Friday
Thank God for walk out day! I got to sleep in until 1 PM! We had another fun day ahead of us and we were ready for that night because we had the second night of Variety Show! My friend John and I designed and built our Jallopy for the Homecoming parade which was turning his car into a train engine. Then my friend Andrew and I finished making our costumes for our Costume Clowns which was Robin Hood Men in Tights. Another great Variety Show performance and we head to bed early that night because we have to wake up at 5 AM to head to the parade.
Homecoming - Thursday
As most of you know this past week has been homecoming weekend and I hope it was as great for all of you as it was for me. I am going to recap what wen't on these past couple of days. Thursday was the beginning of our homecoming weekend thanks to walk out day on Friday. Thursday night was the first night for the Homecoming Variety Show and it went very well. I am a member of Phi Mu Alpha fraternity and was in our skit as the character Poopface. It was such a rush to be on that stage in front of all of the students and my peers. I really had a great time performing and can't wait to do it again next year already! After skit that night I went to a Halloween party and was dressed up as Little John from Robin Hood and also Lil' Jon the rapper.

Crazy Night!
Last night at 3 AM I was woken up by what sounded like screeching tires a wreck and then 5 loud bang sounds. It was then silent for a second and I heard someone yell something muttered and it was followed by the sound of tires peeling out. I laid in my bed terrified to move for what seemed like 30 minutes then the next thing I knew I hear sirens, and lots of them. I decide to get up and check out what happened only to be amazed at the site outside my window. There is an old red escort on its side with what appear to be bullet holes in it, a large black man laying on the concrete with blood all around him, and at least 8 cop cars, 3 fire trucks, and 2 ambulances. All right outside my apartment complex. I watched as they put the man on a back board and loaded him into one of the ambulances. The thing that worries the most is the ambulance didn't leave after they put him in. It was like they were just trying to get him out of the view of the public. A tow truck showed up and tipped the car back over and at this point I could see that it appeared someone had hit him in his drivers side rear finder pushing him into the curb and his passenger side rear tire was all torn up along with the passenger side of the car from where it had landed and slid. The fire fighters cleaned up the red fluid, what I thank is blood, from the ground underneath where the car was. And just like that everything was back to the way it was 2 hours earlier. Peaceful and still like nothing had ever happened. It was a very eerie thing and I'm not sure what to think about what I saw. I wish I was making this up but every word of it is true. If anyone knows what might have happened comment and let me know! Maybe my imagination got the best of me when I was watching this but what I heard and then what I saw seemed to match up.
On a lighter note everyone have a good weekend! Good luck to the football team!

Weekends in The Ville'
So here is my beef with Maryville. Why is it that the only reason people stay here on weekends is when there is a football game? I'm not saying that I don't go to all the football games because I do I'm just saying there are things that people can do up here on weekends even though there isn't one! People complain about how lame the town of Maryville is but in the end it is only as lame as you allow it to be. Here is a list of some things that you should look into trying the next weekend when we don't have a football game or anything going on.
1) Go to the Hangar (Movie Theater)
2) Go to one of our many parks in town
3) Play ultimate frisbee on the football field
4) Play disc golf
5) Throw a party or go to a party (I'm not promoting drinking but rather promoting having a fun time)
It is up to us to make Maryville what it can be and we leave this place every second we can. My challenge to you is to stick around and have a good time here. It will make your whole college experience better!
